I live in Ontario, Canada and have been working in the mental health field for over seventeen years. I am a Family Addictions Counsellor and Educator and an Emotional Freedom Techniques Practitioner (Energy Tapping.)
I am also the author of the children’s book, “Tapping Away the Blues” and my recent eBook for teachers and their students: “The Stress Erasers.”
I developed an interest in the mind-body connection after completing my studies in addiction counselling. I came across (EFT) Emotional Freedom Techniques while looking for complementary modalities. I had no idea what to expect, but went to my first training with an open mind. I was astonished by the results!
After taking my second and then advanced level training, I began offering tapping to clients with very positive feedback. When they left appointments, they now had a tangible, convenient self-help tool they could use.
Tapping is not a magical cure, but it is a fast way to bring down stress levels to help clear your mind and re-evaluate issues from a different perspective. In doing this, it alters your emotional response to certain events, past or present. Your fears and limiting beliefs are lessened or gone.
I have continued to share this technique with many clients, both adults and children throughout the years with impressive results. Tapping is an effective tool, but it only works if you work it!
I am also in recovery from substance abuse and am passionate in helping others on their own journey of recovery, because I believe that, ‘Everyone deserves a chance to imagine the possibilities.’
