A Quick Version of Energy Tapping

 

Try a practice round first to famliarize yourself with the meridian points. Tap gently with two fingers on each point a few times.

Outside part of hand (karate chop)

Top of Head

Inner Eyebrow

Side of Eye

Under Eye

Under Nose

Chin

Collar Bone

Under Arm

Back of Hand (in-between little finger and ring finger below knuckles on hand)

Now do a full round:

1- Identify the negative issue/emotion/craving.

2- State this phrase 3x while tapping karate chop "Even though I have this negative issue/emotion,craving  I'm ok in this moment (or I accept myself or I love myself)

* The Set-Up Phrase acknowledges you have a negative issue or emotion, and states something positive about "you"

3-Continue With Tapping Sequence beginning at the top of your head.

At the same time tune into your issue/emotion/craving and repeat a reminder

phrase "This emotion/issue/craving", end at back of hand.

*The Reminder Phrase helps maintain focus on the negative emotion or issue.

4- Take a Full Deep breath & assess your issue/emotion/craving.


Continue with steps 3&4 as needed until you feel better. If you'd like to gauge how you are feeling use a Subject Units of Distress Scale or better known as a SUDS: rate your emotion/craving/issue on a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the worst. After doing a full round of tapping rate yourself again. Keep repeating the tapping sequences until you reach below a 4.
