BACK TO SCHOOL STRESS 

Step by Step Tapping Instructions During Covid

The Tapping Points to be used during Covid-19

Side of Your Hand (Karate Chop Point) - is located on the fleshy part of the outside edge of the hand, between the top of the wrist and the base of the little finger. Or where you would karate chop something. It does not matter which hand you choose to tap with.

Top of Your Head – this is the crown area; tap with one hand in a circular motion, using two or three fingertips.                

Collar Bone (Tarzan Point) – make a V with your hand and thumb and tap just below your neck. Or do a Tarzan thump (with two fists gently tap under the collarbone)

Under Arm (Tickle Point) - about 10 cm (4 inches) below the armpit. You can either hug yourself and tap both sides or pretend to have wings and tap the sides of the body or raise your arm as if to be tickled and tap one side.

Wrist to Wrist - gently tap the inside of your wrists together.

Let's proceed to a Tapping Round

Ask yourself, 'what's bothering me?'

For this tapping session we will do two rounds and are going

to focus on 'Back to school stress.'

The Set-up Phrase 

Acknowledges the negative emotion/issue, followed by a positive self-statement 

Begin by saying these 3 phrases, while tapping on the karate chop.  

"Even though I have this stress about school, I'm an awesome person (kid)"

"Even though I have this stress about school, I'm a great kid (person)"

"Even though I have this stress about school, I'm an awesome student"

Continue tapping on each point, beginning at the top of your head.                 

At the same time, think about the stress you have, and repeat out loud what we call a reminder phrase.

This will help you remember the emotion/issue you are focusing on.

Every time you change to a new tapping point say:

"This back to school stress"

Tap 'gently' about ten times on each point. Don't focus to much on how many times you are tapping.

If you tap more than ten times, it's okay. If you tap less, that's okay too.

Under Arm

Wrist to wrist 

Start tapping your karate chop point again and say these phrases,

"Even though I have this stress about school, I choose to be calm and have fun"

"Even though I have this stress, I choose to be calm"

"Even though I have this back to school stress, I choose to be calm and happy"

Continue tapping on each point, beginning at the top of your head.

Every time you change to a new tapping point say: "I am calm and happy"

Tap 'gently' seven to ten times on each point.

Under Arm

Wrist to Wrist

Take one or two deep breaths, in and out.
